Edmonton Pride Festival launches Y2K @ Churchill Square – a new outdoors, 90s-themed dance party

Expanding on last year’s massively successful event, Edmonton PrideFest Association announces the new week-long Edmonton Pride Festival from August 18-26, 2023. This year’s week-long festival will feature headline performances at signature events including

Y2K @ Churchill Square – on Friday August 25, 2023.

Y2K @ Churchill Square is a 90s-themed, dance party that is family-friendly and free to attend. This year’s Y2K headliner will be Prozzak, one of the most beloved bands of the 90s. More performers will be announced in the following months.

“We are thrilled to be expanding this year’s festival at Churchill Square, says Trevor Watson, ExecutiveProducer with Edmonton PrideFest Association. “With a headliner like Prozzak, Y2K @ Churchill Square is a can’t-miss event for those of us who still bop to our favourite 90s tunes in the car. The event is free, family-friendly, and an amazing opportunity to advocate, educate and celebrate our 2SLGBTQ+ friends and allies.”

The festival will once again feature “The Rainbow Road” – a market for 2SLGBTQ+ artisans and organizations that provide support services and advocacy to the LGBTQ2S+ community.

The Edmonton Pride Festival is a free, general admission event open to all Edmontonians and their families. Festival runs Aug 18th to  August 26, 2023 with the majority of programming at Sir Winston Churchill Square.
