Logistics Team Lead

Title: Logistics Team Lead
Type: Full Time, Temporary (Until Late August 2024)
Start date: ASAP
Pay: $20.00/hour
Hours: 30 hours/week
Format: Hybrid, remote work until festival dates, in person required Aug 17th, and Aug 19 to 24.
Eligibility
This role is supported by Canada Summer Jobs, as such the applicant must be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment. Applicants must either be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible participants. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents
Role: Reporting to the Event Director, the Logistics Team Lead is responsible for supporting the planning and executing of the Edmonton Pride Festival and other relevant programming.
Responsibilities
● Support coordinating all logistical, production, and infrastructure requirements.
● Liaising with City of Edmonton departments and agencies to ensure all necessary documents, permits, licensing and inspections for the festival are acquired.
● Logistical support of the festival including liaison with participants, vendors and contractors.
● Creating a welcome kit for all vendors.
● Be onsite during all festival days/hours.
● Develop and produce materials and reports for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
No experience necessary
Must have excellent organizational and communication (written/oral) skills
The following is considered strong assets:
● Event, or project leadership certification and/ or equivalent experience
● Familiar with the software Notion
● Good skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
● Availability to attend community events representing the Edmonton Pride Festival
● Excellent time management, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Responsibilities
● Support coordinating all requirements for artists/performers at the Edmonton Pride Festival.
● Engaging with the local 2SLGBTQ+ artist community to inform local artists of the paid performance opportunities available at the festival.
● Acting as the liaison for all Edmonton Pride Festival artists / performers
● Creating a performance / stage schedule for multiple days/stages.
● Creating a welcome kit for all festival artists/performers
● Ensuring all artists/performers have submitted their required information on time (music/video files, bio, etc.)
● Manage the backstage / artist check in area during festival days
● Develop and produce materials and reports for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
